A truck carrying livestock rolled over on a major highway in the South Burnett on Tuesday morning.
Emergency services were called to the Bunya Highway near Chinchilla Wondai Road around 10.14am.
The B-double trailer, which was reportedly transporting pigs, had rolled part way down an embankment around 15 minutes outside the town of Tingoora.
The man driving the truck was not trapped, uninjured and was assessed by paramedics at the scene.
He declined transport to hospital.
The road was closed for several hours, which included the intersections of Woods and Transmitter Roads.
Fire rescue crews remained on scene until at least 5pm, helping to load the animals, some of which had died, onto another vehicle.
