A Toowoomba man caught contributing to the “widespread damage” that methamphetamine causes in the community has been jailed.
On Wednesday, June 11, Cody Justin Danny White pleaded guilty before the Toowoomba District Court to 15 drug supply charges.
The court heard police arrested the 39-year-old struggling addict with the crimes following a raid in May 2025, after police found evidence of the supply charges on his phone from late 2023.
However, of the 15 low level drug supply charges, only eight occurred, seven of which related to meth, and the other an unknown drug.
The court heard White committed the crime in breach of a suspended sentence.
Judge Dennis Lynch KC told White he knew better than most the devastating effect meth had on the community, noting his longstanding addiction seemed to be born out of his unresolved childhood trauma.
Judge Lynch said White had served time for drug dealing in the past, however the suspended sentence he breached was imposed for a stealing offence.
He sentenced White to a two-year jail term, taking into account 128 days spent on remand, and set a parole release as of September 10, 2025.
