Nathan Suan Williams pleads guilty at Coffs Harbour court after ugly night at bowling club

A drunk boat detailer verbally abused staff at a Coffs Harbour club, taunting one racially before he lashed out with his fists.

A Queensland man’s night out at Club Urunga ended abruptly in arrest after he harassed staff and patrons and threw punches at a security guard.

Nathan Suan Williams pleaded guilty to a raft of charges stemming from the night when he faced Coffs Harbour Local Court on Wednesday.

Police facts state Williams was at the club on June 30 and he became “well affected” by liquor and argumentative through the evening.

Williams was told to leave the premises by the club manager about 9.30pm and he replied: “Watch out, I will be waiting for you when you come out.”

The 36-year-old left the club and lingered in the carpark, confronting a kitchen worker as she got in her car to head home.

Williams kept opening the doors of the car and the rattled woman went back into the club, police state in court documents.

A security guard warned Williams “you need to move on”.

Williams replied: “I know my f--king rights you black c--t.”

He got in the guard’s face and was shoved to the ground, with the worker fearing Williams would turn physically violent.

Another worker phoned triple-0 and Williams walked away.

But he returned soon after and told the guard: “I’m going to belt you”.

Williams threw a flurry of punches and the security guard again pushed him to the ground.

The manager helped hold Williams down until police arrived.

Williams, from Witheren, was visiting family at Raleigh on the Coffs Coast at the time.

He pleaded guilty to two counts of stalking/intimidation and one count each of common assault, remaining in the vicinity of licensed premises as an excluded person and reentering premises as an excluded person.

Magistrate Roger Prowse adjourned the case to September 6.
