Named: A Toowoomba court has released a number of warrants for residents’ arrest after they failed to show up to court.

A Toowoomba magistrate has released a number of Bail Act warrants for the arrest of four residents after they failed to show up to court.
The below residents, who police charged with a range of criminal offences, were required by law to attend the Toowoomba Magistrates Court on Wednesday, July 23.
After they failed to show up, and failed to contact the court, Magistrate Michelle Dooley released a warrant for their arrest under the Bail Act.
At the end of each court day, Magistrates sitting in arrest court often release warrants for the arrest of alleged offenders when they fail to comply with their bail obligation to appear in court.
On Wednesday afternoon, Darling Downs police were handed a bundle of bail act warrants for the arrest of the following people:
Justin Francis Cheeks
Mr Cheeks was supposed to appear at court on two theft charges.
Magistrate Dooley noted Mr Cheeks had failed to appear on the charges in the past, which landed him in the watch house on a Bail Act warrant.
She said he was released on bail, which he signed, however he again wasn’t in court for the mention of his charges.
A warrant was issued for his arrest.
Ceiligh Elizabeth Leigh Craig
Ms Craig failed to appear at court on three charges of possessing dangerous drugs.
A warrant was issued for her arrest.
Samuel Zachery Gillis
Mr Gillis failed to appear in court on a raft of alleged property offences.
Police have charged Mr Gillis with breaking into a premises, obstructing a police officer, two counts of breaching his bail, and three counts of attempting to enter a premises with the intent to commit a crime.
A warrant was issued for his arrest.
Istvan Nyitrai
Mr Nyitrai failed to appear in court on five charges, which were four counts of stealing and one count of entering a home and committing a crime one inside.
A warrant was issued for his arrest.
