Man’s body found at lookout in Lennox Head in northern NSW

Police have launched investigations to determine how a man came to be found dead in a northern NSW coastal town.

The body of a man has been discovered at a lookout in a tourist town on the North Coast.

NSW Police confirmed on Monday that emergency services were called to a lookout at Lennox Head about 2pm on Sunday.

The body of a man had been found.

The man is yet to be formally identified but it’s believed he was aged in his 60s.

Richmond Police District officers have launched an investigation into the Ballina Shire death.

It was suggested in one local social media group the man’s feet had been “tied together by truck straps” – but the death is not currently being treated as suspicious, police confirmed.

Officers have been investigating misadventure, among other causes of death.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
