Man, 36, charged with grievous bodily harm after Vale View bashing
A man has been held in police custody overnight after he allegedly bashed an older man, fracturing his face in several places.

A 36-year-old Vale View man has been charged with grievous bodily harm after he allegedly bashed an older man in Vale View overnight.
Detective Senior Sergeant Paul McCusker said police were called to a disturbance at an address on Toowoomba’s western fringe about 9.50pm Thursday.
The arrived to find a 66-year-old man who had suffered multiple facial fractures.
“He was hospitalised and will possibly require surgery,” Snr Sgt McCusker said.
It is understood the young man was a tenant at the property owned by the elderly man.
Police charged the 36-year-old man with assault occasioning grievous bodily harm.
He is set to the face Toowoomba Magistrates Court on Friday morning.
