A Coffs Harbour man charged with drug supply and possession allegedly failed to provide police access to an encrypted messaging app on his phone.
Jory Michael Mackay from Boambee East is facing seven separate drug-related charges.
The 30-year-old is currently on bail and is yet to enter a plea to any of the charges.
It is alleged he supplied 60g of MDMA and 14g of cocaine on October 14 in the Boambee East area.
Police will also allege he was in possession of both cocaine, cannabis, MDMA and meth on the same day.
When police asked to look at his phone he allegedly failed to give them access to the encrypted messaging app Threema.
Police initially opposed granting him bail telling the court he had ‘numerous previous drug related incidents’ on his records.
Mackay appeared in Coffs Harbour Local Court on Wednesday to have his bail curfew changed.
Magistrate Theresa Hamilton altered his curfew which means he must not leave his house between the hours of 8.30pm and 6am.
The case has been adjourned to January 14.
