A man and woman have been arrested in bushland at Port Macquarie as part of an ongoing police probe into a series of alleged break-and-enters.
Mid-North Coast Police attended the bushland along Matthew Flinders Drive at Port Macquarie as part of investigations about 5am on Thursday.
Officers arrested Benjamin Black, 38, and Nicole Lowe, 50, and they were taken to Port Macquarie Police Station.
Police allege the pair were involved in several break-ins in the Port Macquarie and Lake Cathie areas during recent months.
Black has been charged with three counts each of aggravated break and enter and stealing in company and having goods suspected of being stolen.
He was also charged with one count each of entering enclosed lands without lawful excuse and recklessly dealing with proceeds of crime.
NSW Police states three outstanding warrants were carried out for further alleged property, driving, weapon and drug offences.
Lowe has been charged with three counts each of aggravated break and enter and stealing in company and three counts of having goods suspected of being stolen.
She has also been charged with entering enclosed land not prescribed premises without lawful excuse, recklessly dealing with proceeds of crime and breaching bail.
Black and Lowe were refused bail and were expected to face Port Macquarie Local Court on Thursday.
