Beau Henderson: Binnaway man allegedly busted with guns, drugs after alleged assault

A man stands accused of a litany of gun, drug and domestic violence charges after a police raid on his home in the state’s Central-West.

Beau Henderson, 41, appeared in the Dubbo Local Court on Tuesday, January 14 – one day after his Binnaway home was searched by Orana Mid-Western Police District officers.

Police will allege on Monday morning, the officers raided the David St home after Henderson allegedly assaulted a woman at the premises on January 13.

Upon arrival, officers established a crime scene and conducted a search, allegedly locating and seizing two .22 foldable revolver pistols, an unregistered .177 air rifle, a replica military styled gel blaster, a BB gun, two slingshots, a prohibited knife, cannabis plants and seeds, handcuffs, a baton and ammunition.

Following the alleged discovery, police arrested Henderson and took him to Coonabarabran Police Station.

He was charged with two counts of possess unregistered firearm, two counts of possess unregistered firearm, two counts of possess prohibited drug, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, possess prohibited plant, possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit, possess unauthorised prohibited firearm, possess ammunition without holding licence and not keep firearm safely.

Henderson is yet to enter pleas.

Bail was refused in the Dubbo Local Court on January 14 before Magistrate Brett Shields, before the case was adjourned to Friday, January 24 before the Coonabarabran Local Court.
