Two people have been rushed to hospital with serious injuries following a multi-vehicle crash north of Brisbane.
The two-vehicle crash happened at Bellmere Rd, Bellmere, at 10.50am.
Firefighters used cutting gear to remove a female that was entrapped in a vehicle at 11.26am, before assisting a second person from another vehicle at 11.33am.
According to the Queensland Ambulance Service, a female with a significant leg injury was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a potentially life-threatening condition.
Another female with chest injuries was also taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a potentially life-threatening condition.
A teenaged female with head and abdominal injuries was taken to Caboolture Hospital in a stable condition.
According to Police, Bellmere Rd is closed between Bells Lane and Stern Rd due to the crash.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area, if possible, and expect delays.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the cause of the crash.
