Qld road toll: Five dead in separate traffic crashes
Five people have been killed and others have been taken to hospital in separate crashes in Queensland.

THREE men in their 20s have died and another is in a critical condition following a single-vehicle crash 30km west of Tully in far north Queensland yesterday.
A car left Tully Gorge Rd near Bridge 15 about 1pm, and was found upside-down and semi-submerged in knee-deep water in the river.

The sole survivor, aged 19, was reported to be trapped in the vehicle.
He was airlifted to Townsville Hospital in a critical condition.
The three other men were pronounced dead at the scene.
The Cairns police Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the incident.
Meanwhile at Koongal at Rockhampton, two people were killed and another was in hospital following a head-on collision in on Lakes Creek Rd about 4am on Saturday.
The drivers of both cars, a 47-year-old Gracemere man and a 37-year-old Kawana woman, died in the crash, while a 39-year-old Kawana man was taken to the Rockhampton Hospital in a stable condition.
Lakes Creek Road was reopened about 9.30am.
The police Forensic Crash Unit was investigating and officers appealed for witnesses to come forward.
