Cyclist dies after colliding with car, second cyclist seriously hurt

A female cyclist who suffered critical injuries after she and a male cyclist collided with a car on Sunday has died. The male cyclist suffered serious injuries.

A female cyclist who suffered critical injuries after she and a male cyclist collided with a car on Sunday has since died.

The cyclists collided with the car near the corner of Boden and Harrison roads at Wamuran, north of Brisbane, about 10.20am.

Third person dies after Gold Coast crash

Paramedics, including the High Acuity Response Unit, treated a 55-year-old woman from Wamuran for head injuries.

She was flown to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital with critical injuries but sadly passed away later that day.

A 56-year-old male cyclist, also from Wamuran, was taken to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

The driver of the car, a 73-year-old from Wamuran, was uninjured.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
