Police alleged that around 5pm Thursday, one of the boys entered Queens Road Convenience on Queens Road, Slacks Creek, allegedly threatening a staff member with a firearm, demanding money.

Owner David Dang, 45, claimed one of the teenagers entered his store wearing a black hoodie and a face covering.

“I have owned this store for years and nothing like this has ever happened,” Mr Dang said.

It is understood Mr Dang activated the alarm and the boy fled from the store, without obtaining cash, and entered the passenger seat of the stolen Hyundai Kona.

Mr Dang said he had security cameras installed just one month ago.

“It was just me working, but I’m okay,” he said.

“I’m back this morning since I have no cover.

“I have handed my CCTV (footage) over to the police.”

Police will allege that the Hyundai was stolen on March 20 from a house at Lota, on Brisbane’s bayside.

Around 9pm on Thursday night, police saw the stolen car travelling north on the Pacific Motorway at Elanora and Polair started tracking the vehicle.

Police continued to track the vehicle north and successfully deployed a tyre deflation device at around 10.45pm as it travelled on to the Bruce Highway where it exited at Caboolture.

After a lengthy pursuit, the chase ended as the stolen vehicle crashed into a parked car on Kao Street in Marsden where the two teenage boys fled on foot.

They were arrested by police at around 11.45pm and investigations are ongoing.
