Teen crashes into ditch at Glass House Mountains, Sunshine Coast

A teenage boy has crashed his car into a ditch on the Sunshine Coast hinterland overnight.

The single-vehicle crash occurred at the Glass House Mountains with the young driver taken to hospital afterwards.

A QAS spokeswoman said a male in his teens with an arm injury was transported stable to Sunshine Coast University Hospital after the crash.

The vehicle crashed into a ditch on the corner of Gould Drive and Sahara Road at 6.57pm, Tuesday night.

A QFES spokeswoman confirmed four crews also attended the crash.

She said they arrived at 7.15pm last night.

“The vehicle had crashed into the tree then the ditch,” she said.

“There was one person entrapped.

“They used cutting equipment to access him.”
