DUMPED MP Rick Williams has launched another attack on Annastacia Palaszczuk in the critical final days election campaign, by releasing audio of the Premier saying she was not in control of her movements.
The Pumicestone MP, who is running for re-election as an independent after he was disendorsed by the Labor Party on the eve of the November 25 poll being called, posted the audio on his Facebook page yesterday, insisting it was in the public interest.
Mr Williams can be heard asking when Ms Palaszczuk is coming to his electorate.
The audio then cuts to the Premier who can be heard to say: “Now party office is controlling where I go. I’m not controlling where I go”.
Mr Williams two weeks ago released another recorded conversation with Ms Palaszczuk in which she praised him for doing a good job.
That recording is understood to have been made in the months before his dumping.
Ms Palaszczuk yesterday dismissed the recording and Mr Williams for making it and releasing it.
“Let me make it very clear, in the lead-up to an election campaign, of course people get advice from their respective parties about where they should go. That happens across all parties,” Ms Palaszczuk said.
“Rick Williams is no longer a member of my team.”
