ROBIN Bailey has revealed she is engaged to partner Sean Pickwell.

The Triple M breakfast presenter announced the news on air on Monday morning after Pickwell popped the question during a family day out with their children from previous relationships at Movie World last week.

Bailey, who has sons Fin, 18, Lewin, 16, and Piper, 14, from her marriage to late husband Tony Smart, said Pickwell proposed when her kids went with his adult son and daughter to the stunt show.

“The sun is out, it’s beautiful and I had my eyes shut and I am just absorbing the moment listening to the cars and the kids,” she said.

“All of a sudden I hear a rustle and I turn around and there’s my big panda on his knee proposing.”

“I was just gobsmacked — I literally don’t even think I said yes and I said ‘what are you doing?’ and he goes ‘I don’t know I just felt the moment was right’.”

Bailey, who met Pickwell at a concert in 2015, said he had asked her sons for permission to marry their mother three weeks earlier.

Speaking to co-hosts Lawrence “The Moonman” Mooney and Greg “Marto” Martin, the popular personality said Pickwell had moved up from Sydney into their Brisbane home back in May.

“We spent a huge amount of time just getting him meeting and doing stuff with my kids before he ended up living with us because they’re 18, 16 and 14 and it was going to be a big deal a bloke coming into their space,” she said.

“That all worked an absolute treat but Sean has two children and they’re older so there was no need to do the whole integrated Brady Bunch family thing but it became really important that we just started to get his kids integrated a bit and get to know my kids.”

Robin Bailey dropped from 97.3FM.

Bailey’s late husband Tony Smart died by suicide in 2014.

She revealed on air in August last year that Pickwell had been diagnosed with liver cancer and he underwent surgery just days out from the anniversary of Smart’s death.
