A Queensland Police staff member has been charged with assault while off duty.
A 44-year-old man from Queensland Police Service Legal Division has been issued with a notice to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on May 7 in relation to an alleged assault.
He was charged with assault occasioning bodily harm while off duty.
“In keeping with our commitment to high standards of behaviour, transparency and accountability, we have undertaken to inform the public when a member of the Service faces serious allegations of misconduct,” a QPS statement said.
“This does not mean that the allegations against the member have been substantiated.”
