Qld flights cancelled as Victoria lockdown looms
Some flights between Brisbane and Melbourne have been cancelled as anticipation mounts Victoria will go into lockdown and Queensland will shut off its borders.

Virgin Australia has cancelled two return services between Melbourne and Brisbane following the COVID-19 outbreak in Victoria.
“While most services in and out of Melbourne today are operating as normal, we are adjusting our forward schedule to better reflect changing travel demand and booking trends,” a Virgin spokesman said.
“Customers impacted by any changes to their flight will be contacted directly.”
The changes to flights come as states begin to close borders to Victorians because of the outbreak.
Queensland is due to give an update on its position this morning.
Victoria’s health department reported 12 new cases on Thursday although one had previously been revealed in Wednesday’s figures.
There are now 26 cases linked to an outbreak which is of the Indian variant of COVID-19.
