Two positive coronavirus cases visited Indooroopilly Shopping Centre twice in the last week, as Queensland health prepares to release an updated list of locations visited by members of a cluster in Brisbane’s south.

A major shopping centre on Brisbane’s inner west has been added to the list of places positive COVID-19 cases visited in the last week.

Queensland Health have confirmed Indooroopilly Shopping Centre is among the list of areas visited by two people who have now been confirmed as positive to coronavirus.

A letter obtained by The Courier-Mail, sent from centre management to all stores within the precinct, shows the customers visited Origin Kebab in the food court, and Bupa Health on August 17 between 11am-1pm.

The customers also visited David Jones, Myer, Sweets from Heaven and Touch of India on August 19 between 1pm-4pm.

Queensland Health are scheduled to release an updated list of where the positive cases have visited while potentially infectious.

It’s thought the list will include Indooroopilly Shopping Centre as well as several other new locations.

On Saturday evening, the Centre underwent a deep clean, while the individual stores impacted have also been sanitised.

“In response, Indooroopilly Shopping Centre through our service providers, conducted a deep clean and disinfected the Centre on Saturday 22nd August with the focus on all key areas such as hard surfaces, food courts and bathrooms,” the letter from centre management to retailers said.

“The affected stores have also conducted a deep clean. Indooroopilly Shopping Centre also has the facilities in place to support our customers and tenants food hygiene, such as hand sanitisers.”
