Police confirm death of woman at home on Gold Coast not suspicious

Police have deemed the death of a woman at a home on the Gold Coast as not suspicious.

Police have confirmed the death of a 32-year-old woman at Mermaid Waters has not been deemed suspicious.

Officers believe the woman suffered a medical episode at her Rio Vista Boulevard home and died.

The occupants of the home were quite distressed and requested privacy about 10.30am.

Police were called to the home on Rio Vista Boulevard at Mermaid Waters around 8.45am on Monday for a welfare check and found the woman dead.

They declared a crime scene and launched a sudden death investigation.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
