Police are investigating whether multiple break-and-enters at businesses on Brisbane’s southside are linked, after an employee was allegedly assaulted in a raid on a Brisbane southside tobacconist.

A male employee at a tobacconist on Brisbane’s southside was allegedly threatened and assaulted by two men overnight.
It comes as police say they are investigating whether multiple break-and-enters at businesses on Brisbane’s southside are linked.
Police responded to reports of break-and-enters at businesses in East Brisbane, Wynnum West, Manly West, Bulimba and Upper Mount Gravatt between 9pm on Wednesday and 4am on Thursday.
A male employee at a tobacconist on Finucane Road, Capalaba, was allegedly threatened and assaulted by two armed men during a disturbance about 10.30pm.
Investigations are ongoing.
