A man has sustained a life-threatening head injury after being hit by a car in the Moreton Bay region.

A man has sustained a life-threatening head injury after being hit by a car in Clontarf, in the Moreton Bay region.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Elizabeth Avenue at 12.06pm after reports a car and pedestrian had collided.
Paramedics treated the man on scene for a significant facial laceration, before transporting him to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
The cause of the incident remains unknown.
Traffic delays were expected as the right lane northbound was blocked.
