A WITNESS claims to have seen someone they believe was Novy Chardon in northern New South Wales, 11 days after she was reported missing, a court has heard.
Novy’s husband John Chardon is accused of murdering her on or about February 6, 2013.
He has pleaded not guilty in Brisbane Supreme Court.

Witness Rhani Stratford told the court yesterday she saw a woman and a man having an argument at the Pat Morton lookout at Lennox Head on February 17, 2013, 11 days after Novy was reported missing.
The man was reportedly yelling at the woman, before dragging her into a ute parked nearby and driving away.
After seeing media reports of the missing Novy Chardon, Ms Stratford made a report to Crime Stoppers, saying she believed the woman she saw was Novy Chardon.
The court was also shown a video of Ms Stratford with a police officer at Ballina police station, identifying a picture of Novy on a photo board as the person she saw.
“I believe the person I saw was Novy Chardon, and I believe that the person I indicated in my photo board, No.10, I believe that’s the person I saw,” Ms Stratford said.
“However I do not believe she was as thin in the face in that photo as what I saw.”
Ms Statford’s friend Sarah Kemp, who she was at the Lennox Head lookout with at the time, also made a statement to police.
However she said she didn’t believe the woman she saw was Novy.
“There’s similarities, but not exactly,” she told a police officer in a video shown to the court.
Novy has not used her bank accounts, left the country and seen a doctor since that date but her body has never been found, the court has heard.
The trial continues.
