Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a tragic death on the Gold Coast overnight. A man, believed to be a 22-year-old from New Zealand, fell to his death from a Surfers Paradise high-rise.

A MAN has plunged to his death from a Gold Coast high-rise.
The man, believed to be a 22-year-old New Zealander, reportedly fell from the 15th floor of the Breakers North building in Surfers Paradise about 12:30am.
Police are investigating if he had been skylarking.
It is understood the man was located deceased at the scene.
The incident has been deemed non-suspicious.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
His next of kin were notified this morning.
The tragedy comes just days before tens of thousands of school-leavers hit Surfers for Schoolies.
There have been a number of balcony tragedies and mishaps at Schoolies in previous years.
A spokeswoman for the Breakers North building has declined to comment on the matter.
