It takes a person with very low intellect to vandalise a politician’s office.
There is a thing called an election – and voting is how you voice your opinion.
I’m disgusted to see graffiti plastered across Federal Opposition Leader Peter Dutton’s electoral office in Arana Hills.
The words “scum” and “maggot” were written in black spray paint – and I have to wonder if the vandals were in fact talking about themselves.
Mr Dutton’s office was also targeted last November, in the colours of red and yellow, just for a change of pace.
That graffiti came after the US election and one of the messages on the glass frontage was this: “Hint: Dump Albo! Nobody f – king likes him.”
Like I said, low intellect. Dumping Albo is what Mr Dutton and the LNP are actually trying to do. Writing it on a wall won’t make it happen.
Bring on May 3.
In the meantime, vandals should be made to scrub off their graffiti and have it explained to them – very slowly and using Year 1 level language – that in Queensland the crime of wilful damage is punishable with five years’ jail, and possessing an aerosol spray which is used for graffiti carries a fine of $3226 and one year in the clink.
