A teenage girl has suffered a potentially life-threatening head injury after being hit by a bus south of Brisbane.

A teenage girl has been rushed to hospital with a potentially life-threatening head injury after she was hit by a bus south of Brisbane.

Emergency services were called to a reported bus and pedestrian incident on Chambers Flat Rd, Marsden just after 8.30am.

According to the Queensland Ambulance Service, a female in her teens was rushed to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious condition with a potentially life-threatening head injury.

It is understood the incident involved the Route 550 bus operated by Clarks Logan City Bus Service, which is a delivery partner for TransLink.
