A Townsville massage parlour owner allegedly killed his wife’s lover in a frenzied stabbing attack when he found out about their affair.

Lar Sue, 31, has been charged with murder after allegedly stabbing his wife’s lover above a Thai restaurant on Monday.

The Courier-Mail can reveal Sue confronted his wife and the other man in a residential unit above the Thuringowa Dr restaurant about 4.40pm and stabbed him multiple times.

Witnesses quickly called police and paramedics when they heard the disturbance, but the 26-year-old man’s injuries were too severe and he couldn’t be saved.

Witnesses also reported seeing Sue covered in blood and yelling after the attack.

The pair opened the business in April last year after getting married in 2022.

The couple were married at Paronella Park in Far North Queensland, and their social media profiles show them regularly enjoying travelling together across the globe.

Sue posted to social media just days before the alleged killing honouring his wife for their three-year wedding anniversary.

“I need you forever by my side, time go (sic) so slow when we are apart. I count the time until we are together again so that weight can be lifted from my heart,” Sue wrote.

Ms Liang witnessed the horrific stabbing but was not injured. She is assisting police with their investigation.

He was remanded in custody until his next court appearance on August 2.
