Horse-mounted protester fined more than $7000 after border gathering
A movie stuntman who stole the show at a protest at the Queensland-New South Wales border has copped double fines after handing himself in to police.

A horse-mounted protester who took part in a rowdy demonstration against the border closure on the southern Gold Coast on Sunday has been hit with more than $7000 in fines.
Riding a white horse, the man bounded through border blockades during the protest attended by about 2000 people at Coolangatta-Tweed Heads.
The rider is a Hollywood stuntman who worked on the Thor: Ragnarok blockbuster on the Gold Coast.
Michael Corrigan, 52, handed himself into Tweed Heads police on Monday afternoon.
He was issued with a $3000 penalty infringement notice for unlawfully participating in an outdoor gathering during the statewide NSW lockdown.
He has also been fined $4135 by Queensland Police for failing to comply with a direction from the Chief Health Officer.
A police spokeswoman said no charges had been laid but investigations were continuing.
Corrigan has worked on dozens of big budget movies over the past 25 years, including Thor: Ragnarok, The Last Samurai and San Andreas.
Police are using CCTV and mobile phone footage to identify the protesters.
Ten people were arrested on Sunday and more than 50 fines issued.
