High-profile rape accused gave fake name to woman at strip club – police will allege

A high-profile man charged with raping a young woman he’d allegedly given a fake name to at a Toowoomba strip club told her they’d had sex multiple times during the night when she woke to find herself naked with him on top of her, police will allege.

A high-profile man charged with raping a young woman in Toowoomba told her they’d had sex multiple times during the night when she woke to find him penetrating her, police will allege.

It will be alleged the man gave the woman a fake name as they chatted at a strip club before he called them a taxi back to his friend’s house.

The man, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, had his matter briefly mentioned in Toowoomba Magistrates Court today after being charged with two counts of rape.

Police will allege the young woman was raped after going home with the man when they met while partying at the Toowoomba strip club.

The young woman told police they were lying in bed and kissing and she told him to put a condom on.

Police will allege the woman then woke to the man shaking her awake and that she’d had her clothing removed and he was naked on top of her with his penis inside her.

They will allege the man held up a bag of cocaine, telling her he’d found it in her top, before cutting it and sharing it with her from the bedside table.

Police will then allege the woman did not remember anything until she woke again to find the man again having sex with her.

She alleged to police that she asked him to stop and he told her they’d had sex throughout the night.

Police will allege the woman then asked whether he had ejaculated inside her and he said yes, before penetrating her again and ejaculating inside her.

Police will allege the man drove her to a nearby chemist where she got the morning after pill. He then bought them a takeaway coffee before driving her home.

It will be alleged they spoke over social media for a number of days but at some point while discussing a news event with a friend, the woman googled for more information and found a photograph of the man.

The next day she went to police and alleged the man had had unprotected sex with her while she was asleep and continued to have sex with her after she told him to stop.

Detectives will allege they obtained CCTV of the man and woman leaving the strip club, as well as records of the man booking a taxi back to his friend’s house and buying the coffee.

The man’s friend also told police he recalled a woman being at the house, it will be alleged.
