The Queensland Fire Department is investigating a house fire in Woombye this morning.

Two crews attended a fire at Ann St and Blackall St at 8.37am this morning.

A Queensland Fire Department spokeswoman said there was an external fire by a powerbox on the left side of the property but two firefighters extinguished it by 8.47am.

A solar panel was completely destroyed.

The spokeswoman said firefighters did not know what sparked the blaze and a fire investigation was under way.

The two-storey brick and timber home was unoccupied for renovations with the owners away.

The fire was not considered suspicious at this time, the spokeswoman said.

Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics and police were also called to the scene but no injuries or police investigations were reported.
