Dog squad, Polair chase ends with Logan teens to face court on car theft charges
Two teenagers will face court on Monday after police used tracker dogs and Polair to trace an allegedly stolen Volvo through Logan on Saturday night before making arrests.

Two teenage boys will front Brisbane Children’s Court on Monday, May 5, after being charged with a series of property offences following a police pursuit across Logan on Saturday night, April 3.
The arrests came after officers conducting patrols on Cinderella Dr in Springwood around 9.50pm observed a Volvo suspected of being stolen.
The Queensland Police Service’s Polair helicopter tracked the car as it travelled through the Logan area.
Just after midnight, the allegedly stolen car was found abandoned on Pine Dr in Woodridge.
Officers from the police dog squad began tracking the suspects on foot and, after a 15-minute search, found two teenage boys at a nearby residence.
Investigations revealed the Volvo was allegedly stolen from a home on Elizabeth St in nearby Rochedale during the early hours of Saturday morning.
A 15-year-old boy from Woodridge has been charged with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, receiving tainted property, and possession of a drug utensil.
A 17-year-old boy from Loganlea has been charged with one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
Both teenagers remain in custody and are scheduled to appear before Brisbane Children's Court on Monday.
Police say the charges are part of their ongoing efforts to tackle youth-related property crime in Logan and surrounding suburbs, and praised the swift co-ordination between patrol officers, the Polair unit, and the dog squad.
Investigations into the matter are continuing.
