Child suffers serious leg injury after dog bite at Clontarf

A child has been taken to hospital with a significant leg injury after a dog bite on Brisbane's bayside.

A child has been taken to Queensland Children’s Hospital following a dog bite at a private property at Clontarf, north of Brisbane.

that occurred at a private property in Clontarf near the Hornibrook Esplanade.

It is understood the child sustained significant injury to their leg in the incident near Hornibrook Esplanade, but they were in a stable condition.

A Moreton Bay Council spokeswoman said the incident was under investigation.

“City of Moreton Bay is aware of an incident that occurred on a private property with people and their own animal. Council is investigating the matter,” the statement read.
