The father of a little girl who died mysteriously on the Gold Coast has posted an emotional tribute to his daughter, saying: “I love you to the f….ing moon and back”.

Valentina Rose Jessep, 2, died in a luxury Mermaid Beach apartment complex on Peerless Avenue on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, the girl’s father, Harley Jessep, took to Facebook to tell of his and his partner’s heartbreak.

“You have touched so many hearts,” he wrote above a photo of him and his daughter.

“I just want you to know that daddy loves you so so much and I will always be blessed to have been you’re father …you changed my life baby girl.

“God must of needed you more than us, you’re mother and I will always remember and cherish you’re beautiful little soul princess. I love you to the f…ng moon and back.

“Please rest easy my angel.”

Police investigating the toddler’s death are awaiting the results of an autopsy.

Valentina’s “shattered and traumatised” father told Nine News she reportedly had a rare genetic disorder called Lamb-Shaffer syndrome, which has affected less than 100 people worldwide.

The condition causes development delays and changes in facial features.

A GoFundMe campaign has also been launchedfor the little girl’s funeral.

“This morning we were made aware of the passing of our sweet Valentina Rose,” the fundraiser reads.

“We are absolutely devastated by Valentina’s unsuspecting (sic) passing, and were not prepared for the high cost of a funeral service.

“We want to give Valentina the service she deserves, to honour her memory, her infectious giggles and smiles, her love, and to be able to say our last goodbyes.

“We are asking for donations to help cover the unexpected costs of Valentina’s funeral.”

Monique Monneron, who created the GoFundMe account, said the family was still waiting on an autopsy report.

“We are still awaiting an autopsy report to find out exactly what caused this sudden passing. Valentina was loved by many, especially her mum Tahlia and her dad Harley,” she wrote.

“Valentina was the most beautiful, loving and caring 2-year-old girl. She would make you laugh and smile with her beautiful personality. We are aiming to raise funds to cover the costs of Valentina’s funeral, casket, burial plot, and so on.

“Tahlia and Harley have lost their only baby girl, to an unknown reason. Their worlds have shattered, and their baby girl is no longer earth side.

“If you could please help spare $1, $5, $10…anything you can would help out. We appreciate it and thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”
