Originally the brainchild of Sydney lawyer Paul Heath and Brisbane Author David Gillespie, the website, while not developed in response to recent education classroom changes, has accelerated development to help supplement those who may be struggling in the new home learning environment.

Talking to The Courier-Mail, David Gillespie revealed how much support the website has garnered in such a short time.

“We’ve so far been able to list over 3500 videos of lessons from 16 teachers across Australia, all wanting to help not just because of the current situation, but because they genuinely care about what they do and helping students.

“We’re looking at adding 100 lessons every day, and would love more teachers to jump on board.”

Covering grade 7 to senior topics in mathematics, science and English, Mr Gillespie said the video lessons are tools that also can be used to help those teachers struggling to teach topics outside their speciality.

“You could be a teacher who normally teaches English one day then the next you’re asked to fill in for advanced physics. I know I’d struggle if I was in that position, it gives them a crash course to help them along the way.”

“This isn’t being aimed at being a substitute for education, it’s a supplement.”

While the initiative is being run non-for-profit, donations are very much welcome to help support the program spread its reach.

“Any support is greatly appreciated, we do this for the passion and for the students.”
