IT has a rooftop pool, million dollar views, 10 balconies, and luxury finishes — welcome to The Inlet penthouse.
Sprawled over the 33rd and 34th floors, the Main Beach property features a contemporary open-plan design with, 360-degree views of the city, ocean, Broadwater and Hinterland.
Owners Craig Trinder, 53, and partner Helena Horsley, 55, have lived in The Inlet, the tallest building in Main Beach, since 2004 and slowly worked their way up to the penthouse, which they snapped up in 2009.
“We started on the 10th floor and went from there to the 16th, 25th, 28th and then up to the penthouse,” Craig, a former professional motorbike rider, explains.
“It just organically happened and we went from apartment to apartment.”
The pair share the three-bedroom, pet-friendly home with their miniature Dachshunds Sarce and Rocco and say the outlook never ceases to amaze them.
“It sounds ridiculous but every day is just beautiful up here,” Craig says. “It’s got so many different characteristics — the mountains, going south to Tweed and up to Brisbane.
“The outlook changes all the time. We’ve even got views when we shower and from the toilet.”
The lower level provides the perfect space for a family with a mix of open plan living areas and relaxation spaces.
Helena, an artist, has combined her stunning artwork with black and white furnishings, some brought in via helicopter.
Textured wallpaper sourced from France along with a collection of glamorous chandeliers creates a luxurious vibe throughout.
The kitchen looks out to the ocean and is designed to serve the formal and casual family areas while high ceilings and glass sliding doors ensure the home is filled with natural light.
“You really don’t need to go anywhere,” Helena says. “We prefer to cook and eat here because we’ve got a better view.
“We say this is the restaurant with the best view.”
There is no shortage of space with seven balconies, two master bedrooms, a bathroom, formal dining room and bar area.
Upstairs is an entertainer’s delight with Craig recalling many parties overlooking the Coast.
“It’s an excellent corporate box, one could say, for any Gold Coast event,” he says.
The pool and spa area, refurbished in 2014, features travertine tiles, a nine-foot fireplace and outdoor shower.
Inside is a lounge and third ensuites bedroom, a self-contained kitchen and bar, bathroom, two balconies and an eight-seat steam room. The lift also services this level.
Craig says while he has been to many countries around the world, he rates the Coast as one of the best places to live.
Craig is also offloading his 2004 Ferrari Spider 360 Convertible and Aprilia RSV4 Factory motorcycle with the penthouse to provide the new owners with the ultimate Gold Coast lifestyle.
