IT’S been a short and tense lead-up to the Queensland State Election and the big day is finally here.
Today Queenslanders will go to the polls to choose who they want to represent them in their electorates.
Below is a full guide to where to vote and how to vote — happy election weekend Gold Coast.
HOW TO VOTE:
Gold Coast voters need to provide proof of identity, including a current driver’s license or passport, before being issued a ballot paper.
When given the ballot paper, voters need to complete the form and place it in the provided box. A valid vote can be made in three ways.
Voters can place a single primary preference in the square of only one candidate, expressing a partial distribution by voting for some candidates but not all or placing a preference number in all of the candidate boxes.
Hours are 8am-6pm.
