March 29, 7.30am: Police officers were repeatedly rammed by a stolen vehicle just outside Alice Springs overnight, with two officers sustaining neck and back injuries.
About 1.25am on Saturday, a residence on De Havilland Drive, Araluen, was broken into, with two vehicles stolen – a Toyota Prado and a Toyota C-HR.
At 2.53am, police identified the stolen Prado at the Amoonguna community, south of Alice Springs, and initiated a vehicle pursuit.
During the chase, the Prado managed to position itself behind the police car and rammed the officers twice.
The officers terminated the pursuit for safety reasons and withdrew from the area.
A short time later a separate police car was dispatched to Amoonguna and initiated its own pursuit of the Prado.
The Prado rammed the police car head on.
When the police car tried to withdraw, it was chased by the Prado and rammed twice from behind.
Both officers inside the vehicle reportedly sustained injuries to their neck and back, with the car receiving extensive damage.
A third pursuit was initiated which forced the Prado’s occupants to abandon the vehicle and flee on foot.
Four youths were arrested by authorities, including two 13-year-olds and two 11-year-olds.
All four children remain in custody.
Violent brawls erupt in Alice Springs: one arrest
March 27, 10:20am: A police investigation is underway after multiple street brawls broke out in Alice Springs, leaving two people injured and one woman under arrest.
Northern Territory Police are calling for public assistance following a series of violent disturbances in Alice Springs on Wednesday, which saw groups clashing in the CBD and later on Hartley St.
Emergency services were first alerted at 12:30pm when multiple reports came in about a group fighting in the heart of Alice Springs.
Police responded swiftly, prompting the crowd to disperse.
Two people sustained injuries, including a 37-year-old woman who was taken to Alice Springs Hospital with minor injuries.
Another victim also suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
A 22-year-old woman was arrested and is expected to face charges.
Later that afternoon, tensions flared again.
At approximately 2:35pm, the same groups were reportedly involved in another fight on Hartley St, with some participants allegedly wielding weapons.
Multiple police units responded, dispersing the crowd once more.
Investigations into the incidents are ongoing, and police are urging anyone with information to come forward.

Injured woman walks 2km naked to get help after bashing attack
March 27, 6.45am: A 53-year-old man who allegedly bashed and stripped his female partner has been arrested in Alice Springs.
About 1.25am on Thursday, a naked 56-year-old woman walked into Alice Springs police station with multiple injuries to her head, face and arms.
It is alleged the woman’s partner assaulted her with a weapon before stripping her clothes off.
Police say the woman ran away from the incident, and was forced to walk naked about two kilometres to the local police station.
About 2am, authorities went to the location of the alleged offence where they arrested a 53-year-old man who is expected to be charged later today.
The woman has been taken to hospital where she is undergoing further treatment.

Qantas flight from Bali diverted to Alice Springs
March 25, 7.30am: A overseas flight destined for Melbourne has been diverted to Alice Springs after a passenger reportedly experienced an in-flight medical episode.
In the early hours of Tuesday morning, a passenger of Qantas flight QFA46, travelling from Denpasar to Melbourne, experienced a medical episode, forcing the pilots to land the aircraft at Alice Springs Airport about 4.40am.
The passenger was evacuated directly to Alice Springs Hospital for treatment.
It is understood NT Police also attended the scene in support of aircrew.
QFA46 remained at the airport for almost three hours before departing for Melbourne shortly after 7.30am.
