Hundreds gathered at the Darwin Waterfront on Saturday for the Northern Territory’s annual Nepal Festival.
There was something for everyone down at the festival, with a large selection of food, cultural activities, entertainment and more.
Saroj Basnet said the best part about the festival was seeing people from all backgrounds united.
“I’ve been in Darwin for six years, and I’ve been here every year,” he said.
“This festival brings the Nepalese community, as well as every other community, together.
“It reflects all the culture, traditions that we do back home, so we can feel at home here as well with the community.”
President of the Nepalese Association of the Northern Territory Sanzeev Gorkhali Dhakal said the event was a “good” celebration of Nepalese culture and the country’s “very tasty” food.
“Everything here reflects our nation,” he said.
“Thank you all the people who are supporting us.”
