THE Gold Coast will host the next state community cabinet meeting, it has been revealed.
Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk this afternoon announced that her government would come to the Glitter Strip next month to meet with locals one-on-one.
It will be held on May 15-16 at Southport State High School.
It is the first time it has been held on the Gold Coast during the current term, with the city previously hosting it in 2009 and against in 2013.
“It will be an opportunity for my Ministers to meet with local stakeholder groups, community organisations and business leaders to discuss issues that are important to them,” she said.
“The program for tow-day community cabinet meetings now also includes more time for local community engagement.”
The public forum will be held on May 15 from 1.30pm and will be followed by formal deputation which will be taken by ministers and the government’s Directors General from 2.30pm to 4.30pm.
On the Monday Ms Palaszczuk will host a Women’s business breakfast with Minister Leanne Enoch before the cabinet meeting.
