WHAT YOU SAID
Austin
2032 is shaping up to be an organisational disaster, a world class embarrassment.
Will
Fair to say the 2032 Olympics shaping up as an unmitigated disaster.
Curious
The whole Olympic fiasco was nothing more than a feel good moment for Anna and her mates.
Boswoz
Ask Palaszczuk, she was the only one looking for a “look at me” moment by putting in a bid for the Games. She must have had this all worked out. Or, we could just can the tennis, it never used to be an Olympic sport, it was only introduced through greed.
Been gagged
What a clown show we are.
Aileen
Ridiculous- visitors flying into Brisbane from overseas, why go to Melbourne to watch a game of tennis - airfares from Brisbane to Melbourne will definitely increase and the accommodation prices will be risen for the duration.

At the rate this schmozzle has progressed under Palaszczuk and Miles, tennis will be a stand alone event, because Pat Rafter Arena will be the only thing built. Tenders haven’t been called, if we have any construction companies still solvent, to build the stadiums. Not a hope in Hades, Brisbane will have showpiece Olympic venues in place by Olympic build deadlines
Sandi
Just another ‘oopsie’ moment for Annastacia. She had multitudes of those after she was accidentally cast into the role of Qlder’s Premier.
Jackie
This is Anna’s legacy that is going to break this state we need hospitals roads dams schools, not more and more and more stadiums. As for the Bris tennis centre, how many times a year does this get used? Just another expensive white elephant.
Joy
How about we give Melbourne all of it. Then we can use the money for what it’s actually needed for. Housing, hospitals and better infrastructure. The olympics we “won” from nobody else, that the Qld public never got a say in. All to stroke Palaszczuk massive ego. And now the LNP government waste so much time and money trying to sort this mess out.
Other readers questioned why Melbourne deserved it after the state pulled out of hosting the Commonwealth Games.
Mr Fibble
If giving it to Melbourne, it will end up in Glasgow
Mark
Don’t trust Melbourne. We will pull out and pay for it to be played in Scotland
Is it even an Olympic sport?
Valerie
Tennis should not even be an Olympic sport they have tournaments throughout the year. Time to cull some sports from the Olympic Games.
Commonsense
Tennis like golf should not be in the olympics - just get rid of those sports
Mark
Tennis is one of a number of sports that shouldn’t be in the Olympics. Couldn’t care less if it went to Melbourne.
