UPDATED — July 9, 8am: A 25-year-old man has been found by NT Police.

NT Police in a statement on Wednesday morning confirmed the man, named Zeethan, was located “safe and well” at Renner Springs.

He was found a week after his family say he left his Tennant Creek home.

An NT Police spokeswoman said the man thanked police and the community for providing assistance in the search.

“He was located safe and well in Renner Springs and police would like to thank the members of the public who provided assistance,” the spokeswoman said.

INITIAL — July 8, 5pm: NT Police say they’re searching for a 25-year-old man with a distinctive walk from the Barkly who has not been in almost a week.

Zeethan has not been seen by his family since he left his Tennant Creek home around 7am on July 2.

Police issued a notice – which did not have a last name – Wednesday afternoon, which said the man had a “distinct hunched back” while walking.

“Zeethan is described as being of Aboriginal appearance, approximately 190cm tall, with a skinny build,” the notice said.

“He was last seen wearing dark tracksuit pants and a dark shirt with a tight-fitting long-sleeved jumper with socks and no shoes.”

Anyone with information on Zeethan’s whereabouts is urged to contact police on 131 444.
