Truck driver allegedly five times legal limit at Grafton, charged with high-range drink-driving
A man has been charged after police say he blew almost five times the legal blood alcohol limit while driving a B-double truck in the state’s Northern Rivers.

A man has been charged with high-range drink-driving in the state’s north.
About 8.20pm on Tuesday officers attached to Coffs/Clarence Police District were called to Big River Way, South Grafton, following reports of a truck swerving on the road.
On arrival officers observed a B-double truck driving dangerously and directed it to stop.
The 32-year-old driver was subjected to a roadside breath test which returned a positive result.
Police arrested him and took him to Grafton Police Station where a secondary breath analysis returned a reading of 0.242.
He was issued a Court Attendance Notice for drive with high range prescribed concentration of alcohol and negligent driving and his licence was suspended.
He is due to appear before Grafton Local Court on Friday 23 June 2025.
