Driver dies in Stokers Siding Tweed Valley Way crash
A woman has lost her life while another is fighting for theirs after a serious crash on Tweed Valley Way. Three vehicles were caught up in the horror collision.

An 80-year-old woman has died after a serious crash involving a truck on Tweed Valley Way overnight.
A NSW Police spokeswoman said police were called to a three vehicle crash in Stokers Siding about 4.30pm on Monday where a Mazda 2 travelling northbound had collided with a stationary Isuzu truck turning into Stokers Road. A third car was also impacted.
She said the 80-year-old woman passenger of the Mazda died at the scene.
The driver, an 83-year-old man, was trapped for a short time before being freed by emergency services; he was airlifted to Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition.
The 32-year-old male driver of the Isuzu and the 60-year-old female driver of the Toyota were both taken to Tweed Heads Hospital for observation and treatment for minor injuries.
Officers from Tweed-Byron Police District established a crime scene, which was examined and processed by the Far North Coast Crash Investigation Unit.
The police investigation is continuing.
