COLES has fired another volley in the supermarket wars, saying it will slash the prices of 150 products by 25% and move 1000 products to its "every day low pricing" range.
The supermarket giant appears to be taking on arch rivals Woolworths and Aldi with the announcement.
"It is important for our products to be more affordable so that's why we've dropped the price on these products, giving our customers real savings at the checkout," Coles managing director John Durkan said.
The 25% discount applies across some bakery goods as well as selected dairy and grocery lines.
