Hollywood’s hottest couple got in shape for their sizzling Vogue cover shoot in the heart of Sydney’s eastern suburbs.
The Daily Telegraph can reveal Rita Ora and Taika Waititi are doing private sessions at Fluidform pilates in Clovelly, with the UK songstress prompting her director husband to “pop in” to try it out.
“I was playing my new album while working out,” Ora captioned a recent Instagram carousel of videos with the sound off.
“Should I set up a competition to do a one-on-one class with me and my trainer?” Ora asked her 16.1 million followers.
Ora’s trainer is Kirsten King, who founded the intimate gym that also has locations in Surry Hills, Bondi, Rozelle, Randwick, Newcastle, and Melbourne.
“Rita and Taika are still here, I taught the two of them together last weekend,” King told The Daily Telegraph.
“They have fabulous energy together. He was hilarious, and she was laughing at him.
“Obviously she’s coming regularly, and he did a couple of really challenging pop-in sessions with her.
“They’re so friendly and gorgeous, they get around like normal people too which is nice.”
King is no stranger to having famous faces in front of her mirrors.
“International and local celebrities, supermodels, and elite athletes are happy to come into the studios because they’re intimate,” she said, noting that reformer class sizes cap at six people.
“They come in knowing that it is a really safe haven for them.”
King lists off Rabbitohs and Rooster players Cam Murray and Campbell Graham, Jared Waerea-Hargreaves and Billy Smith, as well as Buddy and Jesinta Franklin.
“We have a lot of male clients, and specifically NRL players. For any injury the boys come and do their prehab and rehab here,” she said.
“We have a lot of females that start and then their partners see them looking great, and they end up coming together.”
PE Nation founder Pip Edwards has been attending for seven years, often alongside Victoria’s Secret model Georgia Fowler. Lara Worthington visits when she’s in town.
“Our clients are longstanding,” King said, also listing models Victoria Lee, Nicole Warne, Margaret Zhang, and hairstylist Jen Atken.
“What I love with Rita, is she will just start singing mid-workout,” King said, meaning she’s one of the first to hear Ora’s third studio album You & I, which threads together the narrative of her love story with Waititi, track by track.
“Her sister is quite often with her as well,” King continued. “They are beautiful, natural girls and really encouraging towards each other. Rita also sings whatever’s on in the studio.”
