A fourth person has died, and another is still missing as northern NSW continues to be battered by heavy rain and flooding. See the latest in our live blog.

NSW has held its breath through another night as the state faces one of its worst flooding emergencies in decades.

Approximately 50,000 people have been left isolated across the Mid North Coast, Hunter and North Coast, while weather warnings have been issued for the Blue Mountains, Southern Highlands and southern parts of the Hunter as the weather system moves south.
