A man with an extensive criminal history who threatened to bash a social worker at a Central Coast resort has fronted court after flashing his penis to police and hitting his girlfriend.
Jack Coleman, 27, of no fixed place of address, faced Wyong Local Court late last week after pleading guilty to a number of charges including assault occasioning actual bodily harm (DV), obscene exposure and stalk/intimidate with intent to cause fear and physical harm.
According to court documents, Coleman has an “extensive police history” and “has no regard for the law”.
Coleman was staying at El Lago Waters resort at The Entrance on February 28, last year when he started abusing his social worker who he had met the day before.
Police facts state the social worker was a witness to a domestic violence assault and reported it to police.
When she arrived at Coleman’s unit, Coleman started abusing her and said “who the f--- are you, you and your big lips” and “I am going to bash you right now”.
Coleman then started running towards the victim and said “just wait till I get my hands on you” before she ran away in fear of her physical safety, the facts continue.
She called police later that day and Coleman was evicted from the residence.
On December 13, 2024, Coleman was seen by a member of the public grabbing his girlfriend and hitting her to the face in Islington, Newcastle.
The victim sustained swelling and a small cut above her left eye and blood started instantly seeping from the cut.
According to police facts, the victim said Coleman slapped her on the opposite side of her face and as a result fell and hit her face on the ground.
Coleman was then arrested and spoken to by police where he made admissions to hitting the victim over the head after she was belittling him.
In an incident on December 23, 2022, Coleman was in West Kempsey when he was seen walking through the streets while wearing Christmas lights he had stolen from a neighbours front yard, police facts state.
However it was his truly bizarre behaviour which caught the attention of police.
After 10.45pm police were patrolling the area following reports a man had been hit by police.
They then observed Coleman running across some soccer field and asked if he was okay, to which he responded “my sister got f------ up the arse”.
He then asked police if he could get a lift to the station, but they drove away.
He then threw a plastic Woolworths bag at the police car and an officer got out of the car to speak to him.
According to police facts, Coleman was “intoxicated, belligerent, and provided smart remarks to police”.
He said “I’m out looking for a root, I haven’t had a root in seven days. Do you want to see my c---.
Coleman then revealed his penis to police and was then met with a check drill by police and arrested for obscene exposure.
During his court appearance on Thursday, he was ordered by the magistrate to undergo a mental health assessment before a decision could be made over whether he will be sentenced.
