A man has been seriously injured after five armed intruders forced their way into a home in Sydney’s southwest early this morning.
Emergency services were called to a property on Bexley Rd, Kingsgrove, at about 4.30am today following reports of a violent home invasion.
Officers from Campsie Police Area Command arrived to find a man in his 40s with a serious leg injury.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated him at the scene before transporting him to hospital in a stable but serious condition.
Police have been told that five men, armed with knives, entered the home and assaulted the resident before fleeing the scene.
A crime scene has been established and detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the attack.
Authorities are urging anyone with information or CCTV footage from the area to contact police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
