Coonamble granny flat fire: Man, 34, found dead after blaze
A man has died after a blaze tore through a central west granny flat just an hour after police attended the property for an unrelated matter.

A man has died after a blaze tore through a granny flat in Coonamble in the early hours of Friday morning.
Emergency services were called to a home on Aberford St about 2.30am, where they found the rear flat alight.
Fire and Rescue NSW crews extinguished the blaze and discovered a man’s body inside the premises.
While yet to be formally identified, the victim is believed to be the 34-year-old occupant.
Police confirmed officers had attended the property about an hour earlier for an unrelated matter.
A crime scene has been established and Orana Mid Western Police District detectives have launched an investigation, though the fire is not being treated as suspicious.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
