A doctor has been accused of raping a man and sexually touching another over the course of one year while the pair were under his care.

Last month, detectives from Auburn Police Area Command commenced an investigation into allegations of sexual touching by a doctor against two male patients.

On Sunday, investigators attended a home in Gunsynd Ave, Casula, and arrested Semir Farhan, a registered general practitioner.

The 42-year-old was taken to Liverpool Police Station where he was charged with 13 counts of aggravated sexual touching and one count of aggravated sexual assault of a person under his authority.

Documents tendered to court allege between February 2024 and March 2025, Farhan indecently assaulted a male patient on numerous occasions at a medical practice in Auburn and once at a medical practice in Narellan.

On Monday, Farhan’s matter was briefly mentioned at Liverpool Local Court where he did not enter any pleas or apply for bail.

His matter was adjourned to April 17 at Burwood Local Court where he is expected to apply for bail.
